Our products

Curacao Orthotics & Prothetics manufactures and supplies three types of physical support aids:

  • Orthoses (splints), which support or correct a body part.
  • Prostheses, which take over the function of a missing body part.
  • Small orthopedic aids, which are e.g. corsets, braces, walking canes and insoles.

Protheses

A prosthesis is a body part substitution aid that replaces a missing or amputated body part and takes over certain functions of this body part. Each body is unique and everyone’s lifestyle is different. Hence, a prosthesis is especially custom made to meet your body needs and characteristics. When supplying your prosthesis, you will receive expert advice on how to maintain your prosthesis. After attaching the prosthesis, in the beginning you will have to get accustomed to the fact that you will have no sensation in the prosthesis. Your revalidation doctor and physiotherapist will provide you with physical assistance with walking and handling your prosthesis.

Orthoses

An orthosis is a body support device. A certain body part or muscle has weakened and is supported by a custom-made orthosis that is attached around the weakened body part. The body part is functional again due to this support. Our qualified team supplies orthoses from stock or can order them specially to meet your needs. In case your size is very different from the standard sizes we have in stock, we can place an order with one of our suppliers.
